DESCRIPTION:
China, bracket clock reproduction, 8 day, time and strike, double fusee with crown verge escapement center seconds in a rosewood case sitting on fretwork base, white enamel dial mounted on cast brass front plate, 20th century.
CONDITION:
hairline cracks in enamel dial. Case is in good condition with interesting wax seal on top. Modern glass used throughout. Brass cables on fusees. Heavy brass movement will need to be reinstalled into the case. One of the movement mounting brackets is broken. Pendulum bob is from a modern German clock. Aluminum seconds hand. Movement ticks and strikes, but was not tested comprehensively.
